For over 20 years, Tiger-Rock Martial Arts has taught martial arts, life skills, and self-defense lessons to students of all ages. Through the martial art of taekwondo, Tiger-Rock has instilled values of discipline, respect, and honor to every student that has trained on our mat.

Martial Arts for Kids & Teens
Tiger-Rock Martial Arts of North Austin offers two great programs for young martial artists. Many parents have seen incredible changes in their children after enrolling them into Tiger-Rock. We’re told that our lessons have helped their kids become more focused, disciplined, and better behaved.
- Our Tiger-Cubs program is for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten kids. This program is designed to help 4- and 5-year-old students with their cognitive and physical development.
- Our Juniors Program for elementary school kids ages 6 to 11 teaches discipline, respect for authority, anti-bullying, and stranger awareness.
- Our Teens Program is for middle school and high school students ages 12 to 15 for leadership training, self-defense, and building towards the future.
Martial Arts for Adults & Teens
Are you looking for an activity that can help you burn calories and improve your physical fitness and it’s not the gym? Taekwondo has been proven to improve core muscle strength, cardiovascular health, endurance, and flexibility. You can also improve your muscle tone and appearance!
We offer adult martial arts on select evenings throughout the week at Tiger-Rock in North Austin. We’re the ultimate after-work or after-practice destination and we’re the perfect complement to any training regimen or athletic activity you participate in.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for adults
Through our partnership with the Claunch Academy of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a Team Brasa group, we offer exciting Brazilian jiu-jitsu classes for adults.
- Brazilian jiu-jitsu is a sport and self-defense system
- BJJ focuses on bringing the fight to the ground and defeating your opponent with grappling and submissions.
- Classes are available on select weekdays and weekends.
Licensed Child Care Facility
Did you know that Tiger-Rock North Austin is a state-licensed child care facility? We provide North Austin and Cedar Park kids a clean, safe, after-school child-care facility for students ages 6 to 12 years old.
Child care students and their parents enjoy many benefits, including after-school pick-up from your child’s elementary or middle school and convenient after-work parent pick-up times.

The staff and instructors are awesome. Very helpful and great with kids. We took our 4 littles here and they absolutely love the classes!!! It is the best getting to cheer them on in the stands while they practice. Highly recommend for ages 4-10! -
Just wanted to say how impressed I am with this facility. Every single staff member is very professional, engaging, and kind. My son goes to tiger rock and has such a wonderful time with learning, and being with new friends he has made. Definitely worth every penny. If you're looking for a place for you, or your kiddo to go to learn self defense, discipline and all at the same time enjoy it. This would be the place to go.

Is martial arts safe?
Martial arts training does not carry any higher risk than other physical activity, athletic training, or sport. Tiger-Rock Martial Arts takes safety very seriously. All of our instructors are First-Aid certified and we work diligently to conduct lessons in a way that reduces the risk of injury.
Can martial arts improve my child's behavior?
Many parents at Tiger-Rock Martial Arts of North Austin have commented to us that they have seen a remarkable improvement in their child’s behavior after a few months of martial arts training. Martial arts encourages respect for authority and self-discipline. Children are taught to follow instructions and channel their energy.
Does Tiger-Rock Martial Arts enforce long term contracts?
Tiger-Rock Martial Arts of North Austin is a members-first academy. We do not lock students into long term contracts. We only require an advance written notice if you decide to pause your Tiger-Rock Membership. Our staff will go over this policy in detail with you.
